Kim Ledbetter was the Director of Financial Aid at McDowell Technical College prior to her unexpected death. She was a dedicated employee who was passionate about her position. Kim assisted several students in numerous ways by helping them meet the financial demands of obtaining an education, as well as spearheading the MTCC Food Closet.
This scholarship is being established to provide aid to an incoming freshman female student. The recipient must be a single parent who receives little or no financial assistance. The scholarship helps cover the cost of books for one Fall Semester. This individual will be awarded the amount of $250 to assist with the purchase of books.
This is an open scholarship - anyone may contribute to it in memory of Kim Ledbetter.
